I have been searching through forums Scarletuser and reduser and looking on vimeo no where can I find out if there is a default audio connection on the 2/3 fixed scarlet. can anyone who has seen it in person let me know if there is 1 audio connection for reference at least. Most of us would have a separate reorder for real projects. However seeing as Final Cut X can sync audio reference audio is even more important.

I am sure the fixed is going to have at the least two audio connections on the front.

I have spent time going through at least 20 scarlet videos. I find a headphone jack on the back. Audio meters on the screen but no xlr or mini xlr that I can find. This may mean internal reference mic. Just wondering if anyone who has seen it first hand can tell me if there is an audio connection without buying the IO.

As Granty said, there are two 1/8" mini jack ports on the front.

cool thanks for the info. For reference 1/8" is enough. Now I can make plans for the rest of my scarlet rig.

Are the 1/8" mini jack inputs balanced as on some portable recorders?

That is much better than I expected. I should be used to that by now. We are talking red here. :-)
