Too bad there's no HDMI...

I was digging around on ebay and found it, but also found this
Pinnacle Studio Movieboard £124, this looks like a nice little package (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pinnacle-Studio-Movieboard-Ultimate-Collection-14-HD-/230559368645?pt=UK_Computing_Software_Software_SR&hash=item35ae68c5c5#ht_5993wt_873), as it comes with a few bits of software.
SureThing Express Labeler -Red Giant plug-ins: ToonIt, Knoll Light Factory, Magic Bullet Looks, Trapcode Shine, 3D Stroke, Particular
but no HDMI
I wonder what the best way to archive old analogue material, which is why I need the s-vhs cap, but was wondering/hoping I could hook up my DVD recorder as a pass though to HDMI for realtime upscale, but have a funny feeling the upscale may only work on playback of DVD?
Anyone know if they do?

What? An HDV product? Wasn't this supposed to be released like 7 years ago?

Software alone has to be worth the money, HDV I have, portable or not portable HDMI & S recording I don't have.
But may get Intensity Pro Pci.
Though the USB one might be more useful, dont have usb3 though is there any laptops with usb3 yet?

This looks a little too advanced, too many connections I would never need
or maybe this one?
